Pan'an Wetland

Pan'an Wetland is a wetland park created on a former coal mining subsidence area in Xuzhou, China. The design restores the damaged land instead of replacing it. Soil is rebuilt through methods such as stripping the cultivated layer and layered backfilling to recover fertility. Two rivers are linked to form a circulating water system that feeds the wetland and helps purify urban water. Native trees, shrubs and grasses support biodiversity. A zigzag plank road and a bird watching platform let visitors observe the water and land habitats.

Winnovation

Winnovation is a landscape design for a 1500 square meter site in Taichung, Taiwan. The layout is inspired by the aesthetics of eastern cultural gardens and follows an axis that balances the space. A belt shaped ecological pond runs from east to west, matching terrain that is high in the east and low in the west, and leads visitors to the entrance. Multilevel plantings surround the building and offer growing space for plants and insects. Large windows frame the greenery, and openings in the boundary wall share the garden view with neighbors.

Forest of Art

Forest of Art is a landscape design for a 2000 square meter site in Taichung, Taiwan, completed in October 2020. The site lies at the junction of three parks, on a downtown corner facing a walkway to a school. The building was turned 45 degrees to face the school on the diagonal side, leaving more room for planting. Planter boxes arranged in an arc surround a sky walkway that connects with arbours. Multi-layer planting at the entrance makes the street corner appear as a forest linked to the sky walkway.

Shang Yuan

Shang Yuan is a landscape design for a demonstration center in Wuxi, China. The overall layout draws on the dignified form of the Summer Palace, while the details refer to the delicate gardens of the Jiangnan region. The plan follows a pattern of one hall, two axes, three entrances, five rituals and six gardens, so each garden offers a different view to moving visitors. Techniques such as hollow-out walls and borrowed scenery extend the sense of space. Building roofs adopt Tang-style cornices, and permeable, wear-resistant materials support urban rainwater management.

Willow Shores

Willow Shores is a landscape design for a demonstration area in Suzhou, China, covering 5000 square meters. The main entrance uses a minimalist approach, with a large canopy and windows in the landscape wall that open the view, while the hall entrance stays hidden behind the wall. Inside, a winding corridor combines traditional half columns with simple decorative grids, hollowed metal curtains and green bamboo. A pool is set within a pond form of southern China. The whole space is divided into five levels to support a sense of returning home.

Huafa Zhuofan Center

Huafa Zhuofan Center is the landscape design of a mixed-use complex in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, covering 1024 square meters. The complex holds hotel, retail and office functions. The concept of the crystal spot runs through the space structure, the pavement and the ornaments. Crystal light blocks of varied sizes form a pavilion that also serves as a display space. An art glass wall acts as both barrier and display. A gently flowing creek in the rear courtyard links the building to the landscape. The design was completed in October 2018.
